About 4C

4C was established in 2006 by John Tuttle, a 30+ year veteran of the construction industry with worldwide experience in engineering, project management, general contracting and specialty subcontracting. His range of experience throughout the US, Europe, Australia, and North Africa across a broad range of projects including hospitality, stadiums, hospitals, jails, commercial, utilities, and waste water treatment plants, offers clients a unique and valuable perspective in navigating the often inefficient and problematic construction industry.

4C is guided by four principles, Collaboration, Commitment, Contribution, and Checking—the 4Cs.

Collaborate

Working closely and communicating openly we strive to bring out the best in a project’s participants. We encourage direct and honest dialog and engage participants so they’ll apply their full depth of expertise and knowledge to the situation at hand.

Commit

We promote full commitment by our own example of doing what we say we’ll do. We effectively and efficiently bring participants into the “action“, giving all of them the opportunity to be successful.

Contribute

Contributing to excellent results is the primary goal of our teams, wherein participants are recognized for actions that create positive outcomes while being held accountable for any negative results. Validated contributions boost motivation and create an identity with the success of the project.

Check

Checking and establishing an accurate view of performance enables us to take effective action to meet every challenge. In the inherent complexity of construction, goals, and measuring against them, enable the tackling of problem areas swiftly and capitalization of things done well.
